2006 and 2007 have been different from the rest in many ways - I have met several showbiz and literary celebrities, I have debuted as a lyricist and assistant director (if I can call it so) for two different Telugu movies, I was a prizewinner with Vanguri Foundation of America, Inc. again too... but in all this there's also a shortcoming - I have been growing mentally tired or lazy in that there have not been many personal achievements that I could have been happy about, despite opportunities knocking doors.
...2008 was different in many ways - I had opportunities, I had time, but I had reluctance too. I have been in and out of "mental hibernation" several times. However, of particular mention is the period June through November, during which time I was held up in India waiting for my passport renewal and visa stamping. This time in India had given enriched my experience about society, bureaucracy, film industry, reviewing, lyric-writing, and more as I met new people and went around a lot. Still, after coming back in December 2008, I am still not yet free of repeated occurrences of mental hiberation syndrome! With more in store for Summer 2009 on curricular and extra-curricular fronts, I hope to make a comeback, at least in 2009, into L-I-F-E.
